These works are memorial for Annie's dear friend who died in the summer of 2006. Aposotlos Vasilos Fanaras was a Greek seaman, poet and philosopher. He lived in his wheelchair on the streets of Phoenix and was a well known personage in the downtown area for many years. Memoriam as a series draws on a collection of objects - silk flowers, Native American potsherds and bits of the material culture of a farm that once stood on the property that is now the cemetary where Apostolos is buried
