Project Narrative, Annie Waters
In June of 2005, I began collecting material that would eventually become this project. The collected materials are exclusively small and portable and are generally defined as having some or all of the following characteristics:
Found items are stored zip-lock bags with 3”x 5” cards which note date, address or location of collection. These bags are filed in large white envelopes listing zip-locks dates and contents.
To create drawings from the collection, items chosen from one bag are photocopied in formats of 8”x 8”, 18” x 18” or 24”x 24”. These images are saved in large display portfolios for future selection for finished drawings. The completed drawings are made on chosen copies with Prismacolor pencil, china marking pencil, oil pastel and ink.
